Should business leaders use logic or emotion to persuade?If we are primarily emotion-based, business leaders attempting to persuade their employees to follow them through one more change in how the company functions have a practical decision to make.

  • Yes. Logic that gets the job done… and done right to run the business… with a tad of emotion to have human feelings for employees and customers, not so many emotions and feelings that they run over the company policies though. Must stand your ground for the benefit of the company.

    • Actually Brenna, since emotion is the primary driver of behavior, emotional leadership is the best mode of persuasion. Tug at the heartstrings, use stories, change metaphors. Losing an argument doesn’t really motivate
