A major question being posed today goes something like this: Would a loving God send someone into eternal torment? Christians have a theological framework of an eternal destiny called hell. Through a series of posts, I want to explore the doctrine from a biblical and historical theological framework while also talking about contemporary views. The posts will cover:
1. Pre-New Testament biblical view of hell
2. The New Testament view of hell.
3. Historical views from the Patristics to the Middle ages and the reformation.
4. Contemporary views such as universalism and annihilationism.
These posts will start on Monday, March 7, just in time for Mardi Gras!
