There is reason to believe that we need fewer entrepreneurial pastors and more pastors who actually know God deeply. If the next generation is any indication, our spiritually, intellectually, and aesthetically impoverished popular culture and the corresponding vacuousness of Christianity-Lite are taking their toll. Despite occasional glowing articles about teenage spirituality, research shows that teenagers are leaving religion and usually replacing it with nothing.
